“Everyone ate and was satisfied. They picked up 12 baskets full of leftover pieces.” (Matthew 14:20)
Jesus is not a stingy Savior. He is not a miserly Messiah.
When Jesus promises life, He means full, vibrant, overflowing life.
When He promises joy, He means deep-seated, all-encompassing, overwhelming joy.
When He promises peace, He means peace that cannot be explained or taken away by circumstances; peace that soothes our soul in every season, no matter what the season looks like.
Yes, Jesus promises abundance, and He is willing, ready and more than able to deliver. The question is, are we willing to stop trying to earn and explain things and just receive His gifts by faith?
If we are and we do, there will always be more than enough.
